I don't want to alarm anyone but the President is now reading off "poll" after "poll" at his campaign rally to prove he won the debates in 2016. He is also complaining about Brad Pitt and that a South Korean movie won the Oscars and that he didn't win Time Man of the Year.
Agent for Russia. That’s the tweet. https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1230612487608905729
The president attacks government prosecutors . He attacks federal judges. Now he is attacking a juror—a juror!—for doing her public duty. This is beyond the pale. Attorney General Barr??
Words for our time: “The truth still exists; the truth still matters. Roger Stone’s insistence that it doesn’t, his belligerence, his pride in his own lies are a threat to our most fundamental institutions, to the foundations of our democracy.” -Judge Jackson at Stone sentencing
Now that we know our intelligence community says Russia is meddling in the 2020 election with an eye to re-electing the Republican president, maybe we should revisit how Senate Republicans just blocked three election security bills? https://thehill.com/homenews/house/482569-senate-gop-blocks-three-election-security-bills
People. Wake. Up. This is a red alert. https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1230612487608905729
So the sequence here appears to be.
1. DNI gets intel that Russia is interfering again in the election
2. Acting DNI briefs lawmakers about the threat.
3. Trump finds out
4. Trump berates acting DNI
5. Trump replaces acting DNI with political stooge/ally
So basically trump is just nonstop criming? And no one is stoping him because they’re scared of mean tweets?
We count on the intelligence community to inform Congress of any threat of foreign interference in our elections.
If reports are true and the President is interfering with that, he is again jeopardizing our efforts to stop foreign meddling.
Exactly as we warned he would do. https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1230612487608905729
This is a screaming red siren, but in the daily barrage of crazy, can we hear it?Trump is not only trying to rewrite history of Russia’s intervention in 2016, he is now using the power of the presidency to conceal their 2020 scheme to re-elect him.Dangerous! https://twitter.com/KenDilanianNBC/status/1230806180521553920

The Stone case has been a massive embarrassment - and worse- for William Barr. He publicly undercut his own prosecutors; Trump laughed at his claim of independence; now his prosecutors revolt in court and the judge calls him out.
Barr earned all of this. He’s unfit.
Pardons can be used to right a wrong, or show mercy to the repentant.
Instead, Trump pardons Fox News guests, the wealthy and well-connected,
And those convicted of the same serious crimes his associates are accused of.
It’s unjust at best. Corrupt at worst.
My guess is that Dana Rohrabacher could walk into court tomorrow, put his hand on a Bible, and say that Russia paid Assange, Trump knew it, and Trump offered Assange a pardon, and the average Trumper would say: "That's how you make America great."
Taxpayers have a right to know how much of their money is lining the President’s pockets.
Trump shouldn’t have the option to hide it.
I’ve introduced legislation to require disclosure of government spending that directly benefits presidents and their businesses.
Let’s find out https://twitter.com/charlesornstein/status/1230116562365009921
Roger Stone was found guilty of lying to Congress and threatening a witness.
He did it to cover up for Trump. His sentence is justified.
It should go without saying, but to pardon Stone when his crimes were committed to protect Trump would be a breathtaking act of corruption.
