Nice! I love joining #AdWeekChat.
A3: Offer paid internship opportunities. Not everyone is able to do an unpaid internship, especially with the living costs in big cities.
Providing experience to a wider pool of people gives you a more diverse group to pick from when it comes to full-time hires. #AdweekChat
A few of us raised our hands, planned our own celebration, shared it with the org and they supported. For that I am glad. Sometimes you have to build it and they will come. #AdweekChat

Thank you guys for hosting an amazing #AdWeekChat! You all are heroes and legends in my book and I’m thankful to be a part of it each week!
Today's #AdweekChat was about diversity, given that it's Black History Month.
That being said, there are a lot of good ideas in this thread.
Would love to see more companies put them into practice in 2020.
No more excuses. https://twitter.com/Adweek/status/1230220844745601025
Focus on the needs of the employees and communities you are trying to serve rather than taking any action that merely checks a box. #AdweekChat
Businesses need to be honest with themselves first about their diversity issues. The process should be working from the inside out. Many shops think hiring, hiring, hiring will cure their toxic culture and lack the development of the few POC they do have. Wrong. #AdweekChat
That's a wrap! Thank you to everyone who provided their inspiring thoughts and wisdom in today's #AdweekChat.

A6: Oh, this one is easy: @SoniaMManzano AKA Maria from @sesamestreet was (and is) an inspiration in terms of media representation. And in craft behind the camera, too. (Plus bite-sized Sesame Street sketches were good training for a life in :30s ad production.) #adweekchat
Ooof, wish there were more industry folks. #adweekchat
