It’s been 36 days since Mueller’s report became public. Dems have spent that time fighting about redactions, executive privilege and hearing formats.
Now they say it’s time to focus on the damaging stuff Mueller found: https://www.politico.com/story/2019/05/23/democrats-mueller-report-1342324
This is a danger sign. Barr, who is willing to use criminal investigations as political tools, can now decide to selectively release classified information to further the WH’s false narrative. But he won’t file a motion asking a judge to turnover grand jury material to Congress https://twitter.com/justinjm1/status/1131874355493912576
You are going to see every First Amendment supporter in this country, left, right and center, swallow their feelings about this particular human and denounce what the Trump administration is trying to do here. Because it would fundamentally change the United States of America.

Robert Mueller "wants to testify in private," @RepJerryNadler tells @maddow. "He's willing to make an opening statement, but he wants to testify in private."
Asked if the American people would see a record, the congressman says, "We'd see a transcript. We'd see a transcript."
Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler tells @maddow that Robert Mueller wants to testify in private. "He's willing to make an opening statement, but he wants to testify in private." Nadler adds that the public would see a transcript of Mueller's testimony if that happens.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, who would be in charge of launching impeachment, confirms WaPo report that he is leaning on Pelosi:
“I urged the speaker to speed things up and consider an impeachment inquiry.”
You don't need to manipulate a video to make this president look bad. Undoctored ones work just fine.
House Democrats fundamentally misunderstand what they are up against. While they’re dithering over whether to impeach Trump for crimes we know he committed, Trump is weaponizing the entire Executive branch to invent criminal charges against his enemies. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/23/us/politics/trump-barr-intelligence.html
Whoa. So Barr has the sole authority to declassify info related to the Trump investigation over the objections of the original classifying authority - CIA, NSA, etc. A huge accumulation of power and discretion to the AG that I believe is unprecedented. https://twitter.com/aaronblake/status/1131715883175436288
Wondering what President Donald Trump was trying to cover up, even if there was no provable crime of conspiracy?
Here's a list of 14 major findings in Volume 1 of the #MuellerReport
(I wrote up the list for this article: https://www.justsecurity.org/63838/guide-to-the-mueller-reports-findings-on-collusion/ )
And so it begins. The president has ordered a federal investigation into his perceived political adversaries.
Mark my words: We will see Trump's tax returns. https://www.politico.com/states/new-york/albany/story/2019/05/22/new-york-legislature-passes-bill-to-share-trumps-state-taxes-with-congress-1026004
.@RudyGiuliani has apparently deleted this tweet in which he shared an obviously slowed down video of Nancy Pelosi
While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice,
Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.
The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase.
This is un-American.
Three things happened in quick succession today:
1) DOJ criminalized core journalistic activities as espionage
2) Trump made his AG the fact-finder where independent ones had found nothing
3) Trump started tweeting obvious fakes abt his adversaries
4. The President and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani use their social media accounts to carry out disinformation, this time disseminating doctored videos of the Speaker of the House
