"My Boris Johnson story" https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2019/06/my-boris-story/ by @theJeremyVine
Don't forget N26 – a closer rival to Monzo than Transferwise and valued at $2.7bn
does anyone remember the atmosphere of sheer unadulterated wtf when Theresa May made Boris foreign secretary
A number of reports are placing Monzo's new $2.5b valuation in the context of leapfrogging Revolut ($1.7b) and just behind Oaknorth ($2.8b). But what they fail to note is that the much older TransferWise via a secondary round is valued by private investors at a whopping $3.5b.
Happy Tuesday, fellow journalists around the world!
From last night, confirming another of my earlier scoops.
In other news, I actually mentioned Monzo in a dream I had last night. #WorkLifeBalance https://twitter.com/TechCrunch/status/1143293420867395585

As a journalist, I think an interviewee bringing notes and scripts is their choice (as is insisting a PR handler joins in on a written interview). However, the deal is, if you choose to do so, I'm compelled to call it out in the piece or on-air. https://twitter.com/tom_watson/status/1143081270102171648
Thanks to everyone who answered.
For a news piece I'm running tomorrow👍
The take-away: a growth fund attached to an early-stage fund can be a great antidote to the anti-portfolio (the list of successful companies a VC firm either missed, were unable or chose not to invest in).
Clearly journalists at the beeb are getting better perks than me 🙃 https://twitter.com/maitlis/status/1142466016754245634
Twitter people, remind me, what's that word VCs use to describe the portfolio of companies they *didn't* back? Is it "un-portfolio"?
Good point. Prob a bit of both. challenge is to pick the good from the bad... https://twitter.com/sohear/status/1143117319738183685
GATT 24 just will not die in the minds of Boris supporters despite @Emmabarnett asking the key question. https://twitter.com/bbc5live/status/1143094085567176709

More and more #fintech startups are playing the revenue trump card: lending & credit.
The question then arises: are their lending & credit products more transparent, fairer & more responsible, and therefore part of the solution, or will they simply become part of the problem? https://twitter.com/Jasmine/status/1143115956702601217
